SZINPARK: foundation stone laid for Debrecen's new logistics centre

On 7 March 2025 the foundation stone of the SZINPARK logistics centre was laid in Debrecen at a formal ceremony, opening new industrial and logistics opportunities for the city's businesses. Our investment covers a 110,000 m² site, where — including the phase now under way — multifunctional warehouse halls totalling some 60,000 m² will be built, expanding the industrial infrastructure and supporting economic growth. Located in Debrecen's North-West Economic Zone, the development aims to support companies and logistics providers in the industrial park with modern, high-quality warehouse capacity.

The development is being delivered in several phases. The first builds a 25,000 m² storage and logistics centre that can be divided to suit future tenants — as many as four independent units of 5,000–6,000 m² each, allowing flexible use and adaptation to changing market demand.

Sustainability and innovation are central to the infrastructure being built, so the hall is being delivered with energy-efficient, environmentally sound solutions that meet the most demanding international standards. The aim is to create a competitive industrial ecosystem, attractive to local and international companies alike.

Building a strong economy requires a strong logistics sector, and SZINORG Group's modern investment offers the city real opportunities in that field. This industrial development will contribute substantially to expanding the region's industrial capacity, and creates a competitive environment for local and international companies alike," emphasised László Papp, Mayor of Debrecen.

As the next step in the SZINPARK development, the Group plans further separate warehouse and production halls across the 110,000 m² site, subject to market demand. Work on the first building began at the end of 2024, and foundation works are currently under way on the multifunctional warehouse hall of close to 25,000 m² — the occasion for this ceremony. Construction is being carried out by the Group's flagship, HUNÉP Zrt. Once the first phase is complete, planned for the end of the summer, the size of the site allows for more than 35,000 m² of further industrial halls, for which several concept designs have already been prepared.
